SCPO News - January 2020
Happy New Year!
Meet Your New MP
Following the 2019 General Election last month, SCPO contacted all the new Scottish MPs elected to Westminster to congratulate them on their appointments and introduce them to the Meet Your MP project.

Meet Your MP links congregations to the 59 MPs across Scotland. We want to encourage you to contact your local representative and introduce them to the life of their church.

This could be through:
  • a public meeting
  • inviting your MP to a project your church is hosting
  • asking your MP to a church event
  • organising a community walk in the local area
  • creating space to discuss what's important to you
The following MPs have responded positively so far to meeting with local church groups:

David Linden MP (Glasgow East), Kenny Macaskill MP (East Lothian), Richard Thomson MP (Gordon), Neil Gray MP (Airdrie and Shotts), Marion Fellows MP (Motherwell and Wishaw), Margaret Ferrier MP (Rutherglen and Hamilton West), Deidre Brock MP (Edinburgh North and Leith), Kirsten Oswald MP (East Renfrewshire), Martyn Day (Linlithgow and East Falkirk).

Would you like to meet with them? Let us know below.
