Events Diary

Forthcoming one-off and annual events involving our church and community are listed below. (The Groups page gives details of regular meetings of groups.)

  • 17th, 18th, 19th September and 1st, 2nd 3rd October - Chalmers Lectures, 6.00pm - 8.00pm, Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh. A series of lectures, in which Rev Dr Sam Wells discusses the theology and methods of HeartEdge as a vision for renewal in the Church.
  • Friday 20th September - Italian Night, 7.00pm, Saline Church Hall. Join the fellowship team for an evening of food, fun & fellowship. Tickets 10. BYOB.
  • Sunday 22nd September - Fairtrade and Traidcraft stall, 10.30am in Saline Church Hall.
  • Wednesday 25th September - Macmillan Coffee Morning, 10.00am to 12 noon, Saline Church Hall. All donations welcome.
  • Saturday 5th October - Good Money Week Fair, 9.30am - 1.00pm, City of Edinburgh Methodist Church. Connecting your faith and values to your finances so your money can help ensure a more just and sustainable world now and in the future.
  • Saturday 12th October - Evangelism Reimagined, 10.00am to 4.15pm, Charlotte Chapel Edinburgh. Lunch and refreshments are included in the price (20 adults / 10 concessions).
  • Sunday 13th October - Harvest Thanksgiving Service, 9.30am, Saline Church. Followed by Brunch in the Church Hall.
  • Sunday 13th October - Sing, Sign and Celebrate Service, 2.30pm at St. Leonard's Church of Scotland. This service is particularly suitable for those with Learning Disabilities and Special Needs.
  • Tuesday 15th - Friday 18th October - Scottish Group Work Residential Gathering 2019 - FINDING A PLACE: Our Human Need To Belong , 3.00pm on 15th October to lunchtime on 18th October, St Mary’s Centre of Spirituality, Kinnoull, Perth.
  • Monday 21st October - Children's Holiday Club, 10.00am to 12.45pm, Saline Church Hall.

  • Saturday 26th October - Confident Christianity Conference, 9.30am, Perth North Church. Sharing the Gospel in an age of tough questions. 15 Adults / 10 Concessions.

General Guide Lines

For persons accepting lifts the following is recommended:
Round trips of up to 50 miles3.00

  • All children should be accompanied by an adult.

  • Wear boots for hill walks and strong shoes with a good grip for low level walks.

  • Wear clothing appropriate to the weather and bring a spare jumper and water/wind proofs just in case.

  • For all day walks, bring a packed lunch, sunscreen, and plenty to drink.
